Hindustan Power has achieved financial closure for its 435 MWp (300 MW) solar power project located in Lalitpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The company has secured a debt facility of ₹1,135 crore from the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) to support the project’s development and execution.
The solar project was awarded through a competitive bidding process conducted in 2025 and is backed by a long-term power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation. The funding will help accelerate construction and strengthen the state’s renewable energy infrastructure.
The 435 MWp solar facility is among the largest solar projects currently being developed in Uttar Pradesh and is expected to contribute significantly to meeting the state’s rising electricity demand through clean energy generation. The project aligns with India’s renewable energy expansion goals and supports the transition toward sustainable power solutions.
Commenting on the milestone, Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power, said, “The 435 MWp solar project in Uttar Pradesh marks an important milestone in our renewable energy expansion. With increasing energy demand and a strong focus on renewable power, projects of this scale will play a crucial role in strengthening the state’s clean energy capacity.”
