Samastipur Development Projects Get Fresh Push as Minister Reviews Progress

Date:

Development works in Bihar’s Samastipur district received renewed attention as Food and Consumer Protection Minister Ashok Choudhary reviewed ongoing projects and participated in programmes marking the launch of key road initiatives. The review meeting was held at the Samastipur Circuit House in the presence of Road Construction Minister Kumar Shailendra.

During the meeting, officials discussed the progress of road projects and other development schemes in areas including Kusheshwarsthan and Hayaghat. Choudhary highlighted the importance of the Satighat-Rajghat main road, saying its completion would strengthen transport connectivity in the region. Officials were instructed to complete pending works within stipulated deadlines while ensuring that construction quality is maintained.

A major road initiative also moved forward with the formal launch of widening and strengthening work on the 4.607-km Ilamasnagar-Ballipur-Dumra road under the Rosera assembly segment. In addition, the foundation stone for the long-awaited Rosera bypass was laid at Kalwara Chowk.

The Rosera bypass is expected to improve connectivity, ease traffic pressure and support economic and social development in surrounding villages. The projects are aimed at improving road infrastructure and creating better movement links for residents and businesses across the region.

Several elected representatives, including Samastipur MP Shambhavi, MLAs and other public representatives, along with senior officials, attended the programmes.
