Major National Highway Projects Launched in Nashik

Date:

At the end of October 2024, significant advancements in Nashik’s infrastructure were marked by the inauguration of national highway projects worth approximately ₹1,678 crore by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. This initiative includes the ambitious Surat-Nashik-Ahmednagar-Solapur to Chennai greenfield expressway, which aims to streamline connectivity and reduce travel times across key routes. The project encompasses around 206 kilometers of new highways and includes extensive renovations of the Nashik-Mumbai highway, estimated to cost ₹5,000 crore. Additionally, a six-lane route connecting Pimprisado to Gonde and an elevated corridor from Nashik Road to Dwarka will be constructed, enhancing regional transport infrastructure and boosting local economies.
