Why Has Shankara Building Products Closed Its Trading Window From October?

Date:

Shankara Building Products Ltd has announced the closure of its trading window for designated persons ahead of the company’s financial results for the quarter ending September 2026.

The trading window will remain closed from October 1, 2026, in accordance with the company’s compliance requirements under the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations. The restriction applies to directors, promoters, designated employees and connected persons covered under the company’s insider trading code.

The closure is a routine compliance measure intended to prevent trading by individuals who may have access to unpublished price-sensitive information before the company announces its financial results.

The trading restriction will continue until 48 hours after the declaration of the financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. The move comes ahead of Shankara Building Products’ Q2 FY27 results and is part of the company’s established financial reporting process.

Shankara Building Products has undergone a significant business restructuring following the demerger of its trading business into Shankara Buildpro Limited. The demerger became effective in September 2025, with the trading business transferred to the resulting entity.

The company’s latest disclosures show that its post-demerger operations include activities such as investment properties and related income streams, while the trading business is now housed separately under Shankara Buildpro.

Investors and market participants will be watching the upcoming quarterly results for further details on the company’s financial performance and post-demerger operations.
