Over 100 Land Deals Sealed Across Major Indian Cities, Covering 1,700 Acres in 2023

Date:

India’s real estate market witnessed significant activity in 2023, with over 100 land deals finalized between January and September, spanning 1,700 acres across six major cities. This surge in land transactions reflects the growing demand for commercial, residential, and industrial development across key urban centers.

According to market reports, cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai saw a flurry of real estate deals, driven by developers looking to capitalize on expanding urbanization and infrastructure growth. The largest share of land transactions was attributed to residential projects, followed by industrial and warehousing sectors, as developers responded to increased demand for housing and logistics space.

Experts note that favorable government policies, infrastructure upgrades, and a rise in foreign investments have fueled this boom. Developers are securing land parcels to meet the needs of a growing population and to cater to the shift towards organized logistics and manufacturing post-pandemic.

With the momentum expected to continue into 2024, the Indian real estate market remains a hotspot for both domestic and international investors.
