India’s Construction Sector: Key Projects Driving Growth and Innovation

The Indian construction industry has seen several key project developments. Torrent Power Ltd. secured a contract for a 2,000 MW storage supply from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd., marking a significant leap in India’s renewable energy efforts. Additionally, the Radisson Hotel Group launched the Svelte Hotel in Delhi, expanding its footprint in the hospitality sector.

Dee Vee Projects was awarded the status of L1 bidder for an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract in Uttar Pradesh, aimed at bolstering regional infrastructure. Meanwhile, Oriental Rail Infrastructure Ltd. bagged a contract from the Modern Coach Factory in Raebareli, further strengthening India’s railway capabilities. Welspun Enterprises also secured a project with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, contributing to urban infrastructure development.

These projects reflect India’s diverse construction boom across sectors like renewable energy, transportation, and hospitality, showcasing substantial public and private investments in both greenfield and brownfield ventures .
