Guwahati saw significant progress on new construction projects, particularly the ambitious Galaxy City development. This project, located in the city’s commercial hub, involves a mix of residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, including luxurious apartments, a high-end 5-star hotel, and a spacious shopping mall. As of August 2024, around 25% of the construction had been completed, with foundations for the mall and office buildings established, and work progressing on higher floors of the residential and hotel towers. The project’s estimated completion is set for 2027, positioning it as a transformative addition to Guwahati’s urban landscape.
