Eastern Railway has invited tenders for the construction of a Road Under Bridge (RUB) in the Sitarampur-Pradhankhanta section of the Asansol Division, West Bengal. The project aims to replace LC Gate – 5b, 10 Up, 12, and 14 at Km Nos. 235/5-7, 249/03-05, 251/23-25, and 255/27-29, respectively.
This ambitious infrastructure development falls under the Gati Shakti Unit, Asansol, and is estimated to cost ₹117.58 crore. The project timeline is set at 15 months from the appointed date, emphasizing timely execution and enhanced connectivity in the region.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by 16 January 2024, as per the tender guidelines. This RUB construction is expected to significantly ease road-rail traffic intersections, ensuring safer and more efficient transit for commuters and goods transport in the area.
The initiative is a crucial step under the Gati Shakti program, reinforcing Eastern Railway’s commitment to modernizing railway infrastructure and improving regional connectivity in West Bengal.
