Madhya Pradesh Unveils Aviation and Industrial Growth Projects Under New Policies

Date:

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced new aviation and industrial development projects aimed at boosting connectivity and economic growth across the state. Speaking at the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit’ in Indore, Yadav stated that helipads will be constructed every 45 km and airports every 150 km. The government will offer grants of ₹7.50 lakh for new domestic flights and ₹10 lakh for international flights connecting Madhya Pradesh with other states and countries. Additionally, helicopter services will soon link Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar.

The state cabinet also approved the MSME Development Policy, protecting small industries investing over ₹2.50 crore. Privately developed industrial zones will receive benefits similar to state-developed areas. To further promote industrial growth, a metropolitan authority will be established over 10,000 sq km, covering Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, and Shajapur.

In preparation for the Simhastha fair in Ujjain in 2028, 2,300 hectares have been allocated for constructing permanent dharamshalas, ashrams, and dining halls to accommodate devotees. These projects are expected to significantly improve infrastructure, connectivity, and industrial development across Madhya Pradesh.
