Logistics Park in Nasirpur to Boost Firozabad’s Glass Bangle Industry

Date:

Firozabad, renowned for its vibrant glass bangle industry, is set to witness a significant transformation with the development of a logistics park in the Nasirpur area. Spanning 132 acres, the park aims to enhance goods storage, distribution, and transportation facilities, providing a significant boost to industrial activities.

Currently, 40% of the land acquisition near the expressway in Nasirpur has been completed. The Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) plans to initiate construction after acquiring the remaining land. Strategically connected to Jewar Airport and the Dedicated Freight Corridor of Delhi-NCR, the project is expected to streamline industrial operations and foster economic growth.

The logistics park will feature high-tech storage and distribution centers, ensuring a smooth supply chain for industries, especially Firozabad’s iconic glass sector. Enhanced transportation and material management systems will reduce production costs and improve the global competitiveness of glass products.

District Magistrate Vishu Raja stated that land acquisition is progressing steadily and will be developed in line with UPIDA’s master plan. The logistics park is anticipated to make the supply chain faster and cheaper, benefiting traders and boosting international trade. With such initiatives, Firozabad’s glass industry is poised for a brighter future.
