Orient Cement Limited has announced a major ₹14,500 crore expansion plan to strengthen its cement manufacturing capacity and support its long-term growth strategy. During its Q2 FY27 earnings call, the company highlighted its debt-free balance sheet and plans to expand cement capacity towards 155 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by FY30.
The expansion programme includes 14 projects expected to add approximately 30 MTPA of cement capacity and 10.3 MTPA of clinker capacity. The company plans to fund the investment through internal cash flows over the next three years, reducing the need for additional debt.
During Q2 FY27, the company’s consolidated cement sales volume stood at 16.5 million tonnes, while revenue from operations reached ₹9,197 crore. Operating EBITDA was ₹1,271 crore, with an EBITDA margin of approximately 14%.
The company also reported an increase in premium cement products, which accounted for 37% of trade sales. Its green power share reached 61%, supporting efforts to reduce energy costs and improve operational efficiency.
The expansion will focus on key markets across Western, Eastern and Northern India. With investments in manufacturing facilities, logistics and sustainable energy, Orient Cement aims to improve production efficiency and strengthen its presence in India’s growing construction and infrastructure sector.
