Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded a prestigious track doubling project by South Central Railway, valued at Rs 294.95 crore. The project involves doubling a 33.70 km railway track between Navipet and Indalvai stations in Telangana under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model.
This initiative is part of the larger Mudkhed-Medchal Doubling Project, aimed at bolstering rail infrastructure and connectivity in the region. The scope of work encompasses the track section from km 446.900 to 482.900, excluding the 458.825 to 461.125 stretch within Nizamabad Yard. Alongside track doubling, the project includes significant electrification and signaling upgrades, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
RVNL, a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), is tasked with completing the project within a tight timeline of 24 months. This development is expected to facilitate smoother rail operations, reduce congestion, and improve passenger and freight movement in the region.
The successful execution of this project will mark another milestone in RVNL’s contributions to India’s railway modernization efforts, reinforcing its position as a key player in infrastructure development.
