Pune, 24 September 2025 – HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the launch of its new 20-ton Smart X Plus excavator series and BS-V Wheel Loaders, setting a new benchmark for India’s construction equipment industry. The launch took place at the company’s modern manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune and was attended by dealers, customers, media and industry stakeholders.
Next-Generation Excavators :
The new Smart X Plus series brings five upgraded models – R210, R215, R215L, R230LM and R245LR. These machines are designed to perform across different terrains, serving sectors like construction, mining, irrigation and infrastructure. Built with Hyundai’s 5X advantage platform, the series offers higher performance, durability and fuel efficiency, while making operations easier for customers.
Advanced Wheel Loaders :
The company also introduced two BS-V Wheel Loader models – the 3-ton HL630I and 5-ton HL650I. Both models meet the Government’s BS-V emission norms, ensuring they are eco-friendly as well as cost-effective. With their strong build and advanced technology, these loaders deliver high productivity, fuel savings and reliable performance even in tough working environments like mining, quarrying, ports and construction projects.
Event Highlights :
The launch event began with a colorful Maharashtrian welcome featuring Dhol-Tasha and cultural performances. Guests enjoyed detailed walkarounds of the machines, expert demonstrations and a special key handover ceremony to select customers. The most awaited moment of the day was the official unveiling of the Smart X Plus excavators and BS-V wheel loaders by Mr. Cheolgon Choi, Global CEO of HD Hyundai CE.
