As India’s construction sector increasingly focuses on faster project execution, consistent quality and efficient use of labour, AAC wall panels are emerging as an alternative to conventional walling methods. Bigbloc Construction is expanding its portfolio beyond AAC blocks with ZMARTBUILD WALL AAC wall panels, designed for large-scale residential, commercial and industrial projects.
The company’s walling portfolio includes NXTBLOC AAC blocks, AAC wall panels, NXTFIX jointing mortar and NXTPLAST ready-mix plaster. The approach is aimed at addressing multiple stages of wall construction, from material selection and manufacturing to installation and finishing.
AAC wall panels are reinforced with a two-way welded steel mesh and are available in large formats. Bigbloc states that its panels can be used for internal and external non-load-bearing walls as well as certain roof and floor applications. The panels are positioned around benefits such as lightweight construction, thermal insulation, fire resistance and faster installation.
The shift toward larger prefabricated wall elements is particularly relevant for projects such as data centres, warehouses, factories, offices and large residential developments, where construction schedules and site efficiency are important considerations. Bigbloc’s own industry material notes that AAC panels can enable substantially faster wall installation than conventional masonry methods.
The broader move from individual blocks to factory-produced panels reflects the construction industry’s growing interest in prefabrication, project-specific sizing and more predictable site execution.
