Alpex Solar has announced a Rs 110-crore project to set up a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing plant in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, further strengthening India’s renewable energy journey. Once operational by FY27, the new unit will raise the company’s overall production capacity to 3.6 GW.
The project will be funded through internal accruals and credit facilities, underscoring Alpex Solar’s robust financial planning. This expansion comes after a strong Q1 FY26 performance, where the company showcased steady growth and rising demand for solar solutions.
Alongside, Alpex Solar is also mobilizing Rs 261.16 crore via preferential allotment, awaiting shareholder approval. On the business front, the company has already secured orders worth Rs 1,555.03 crore in FY26 from leading organizations including MSEDCL, SECI, HAREDA, CMPDIL, and three major manufacturers.
Currently, Alpex Solar operates six manufacturing units spread across Greater Noida, Kosi-Kotwan, Eco-Tech, and Madhya Pradesh, with Mathura set to become the next hub.
This development comes at a time when India’s solar PV manufacturing capacity has touched 100 GW, a milestone that aligns with the nation’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and clean energy transition goals. Alpex Solar’s latest project further signals confidence in India’s renewable future.
