Ahmedabad is bracing for traffic diversions as three prominent flyovers undergo phased closures to support the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor and Ring Road upgrades:

Asarwa (Amarsinh Chaudhary) Flyover
Fully closed from February 22 to March 23, supporting bullet train pillar assembly. Traffic is rerouted via Idgah Circle → Girdharnagar Circle → Asarwa Crossing. -
Nathalal Jhagadia Flyover
Closed from February 18 to February 28. Vehicles diverted through Maninagar Railway Crossing via Madrasi Mandir and Jayhind Crossroads. -
Cadila Flyover
Partial/full closure from March 8 to April 4, including BRTS lane restrictions. Regular traffic allowed on one side; BRT routes shifted to adjacent roads.
In addition, Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority’s SP Ring Road enhancements—worth ₹2,200 crore—have prompted diversions near bridges and junctions like Bakrol, Hathijan, Ramol, and Panjrapol. Commuters are advised to follow notified alternative routes as traffic flows are temporarily redirected during the 45-day construction phase.
