India’s road infrastructure is undergoing a significant transformation in 2025, with several key projects enhancing national connectivity and fostering economic growth.
In Andhra Pradesh, the government has approved the construction of a four-lane, 108 km Badvel-Nellore corridor on National Highway 67. This ₹3,653 crore project aims to spur industrial development in the region by connecting major industrial corridors and reducing travel time to Krishnapatnam port by an hour .
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated trial runs of underpasses on the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway. This move is expected to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion on the Delhi-Gurugram stretch of National Highway 48.
In Kerala, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has granted conditional environmental clearance for the Anakkampoyil-Kalladi-Meppadi twin tube tunnel road project. This ₹2,043.74 crore project includes an 8.753 km twin tunnel and aims to reduce travel time between Kozhikode and Wayanad .
These projects, among others, are part of a broader initiative to enhance India’s transportation infrastructure, improve logistics efficiency, and stimulate regional economic development.
