Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the urgent need to enhance India’s public health infrastructure to prepare for future pandemics. Speaking at an event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he highlighted lessons learned from COVID-19 and the importance of early detection, surveillance systems, and local-level health responses.

The government is now focused on expanding health facilities, training manpower, and investing in digital health tools like the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
