The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has started the land acquisition process to complete a key missing section of the sector road connecting Jagatpura with Mahal Road. The project aims to improve connectivity and ease traffic movement across the region.
The planned sector road will be a 14-km-long and 200-foot-wide corridor, connecting the Ring Road with Balaji Crossing on Mahal Road. To complete the pending 600-metre stretch in the Prahladpura area, JDA has issued acquisition notices to 27 landowners for nearly 24,000 square metres of land.
The unfinished portion has been affecting direct movement between Prahladpura Industrial Area and the Ring Road due to the lack of a proper paved route. After completion, the road is expected to benefit around 200 industrial units by offering faster access to Mahal Road and the Ring Road.
The new link will also help daily commuters avoid the Bilwa and Prahladpura underpasses while travelling towards Tonk Road, reducing travel time and congestion.
Officials stated that the road will eventually connect with the under-construction cloverleaf on Tonk Road, making it a major route for residents, industries, and commuters travelling through the Jagatpura region.
