19,826 km Roads Built Under Bharatmala Project, Says Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has announced that a total of 19,826 kilometers of roads have been constructed under the ambitious Bharatmala Pariyojana so far. The program, launched to enhance India’s road infrastructure, focuses on improving connectivity across economic corridors, border areas, and rural regions.

The Bharatmala project, which aims to build over 34,800 km of highways across India, is a major step toward strengthening logistics and reducing travel time. With a strategic focus on boosting trade and improving transport efficiency, the initiative is expected to significantly contribute to economic growth.

Gadkari emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring high-quality infrastructure development, with advanced technology and sustainable construction practices. The ongoing construction is also expected to generate employment and attract investment in the logistics and transport sectors.
