The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has invited bids for the construction of bridges across the Dibang and Lohit River systems in Arunachal Pradesh. The project includes approach roads between Chowkham-Digaru and Bomjur-Meka and will be executed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) annuity basis under the Arunachal Pradesh Package of the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for the North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE).
Additionally, MoRTH is seeking Independent Engineer services for the operation and maintenance stage of the project. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 764 crore, with a completion timeline of 68 months.
The project aims to enhance connectivity in the region, facilitating better transportation infrastructure and boosting economic development. Interested bidders must submit their proposals by March 20, 2025.
This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve road networks in the northeastern states, ensuring seamless mobility and strategic infrastructure development. The project is expected to significantly benefit local communities and strengthen regional connectivity.
