G R Infraprojects Secures Rs 262.28 Crore Western Railway EPC Contract

G R Infraprojects has emerged as the L-1 (lowest) bidder for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract from Western Railways. The project involves the gauge conversion of a 38.90 km railway track between Kosamba and Umarpada in the Vadodara division.

The contract, valued at Rs 262.28 crore, encompasses a comprehensive railway infrastructure upgrade, including earthwork, blanketing, ballast supply, track linking, and bridge construction. The scope also includes the development of station buildings, complete with water supply, sanitation, platforms, retaining walls, boundary walls, and side drains. Additionally, the project involves 30 road under bridges (RUBs) to improve road and rail connectivity.

The execution timeline for the project is 24 months from the appointed date. This development aligns with Indian Railways’ modernization and expansion initiatives, aiming to enhance rail connectivity, efficiency, and infrastructure durability in the region.

With this contract, G R Infraprojects continues to strengthen its footprint in railway infrastructure projects, contributing to India’s growing railway network and improved passenger and freight movement. The gauge conversion will significantly boost regional connectivity, fostering economic development and improved transportation facilities.
