Madhya Pradesh Boosts Industrial and Infrastructure Development

The Madhya Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has announced a significant expansion of the Mohasa-Babai Industrial Area in Narmadapuram district. The addition of 442.04 acres to the existing 441.96-acre industrial park brings its total area to 884 acres. This move aims to promote the manufacturing of electric and renewable energy equipment, aligning with the state’s vision for sustainable industrial growth. The state Cabinet has also approved revised facilities and streamlined allotment processes for businesses investing in the expanded park.

In parallel, the Cabinet has sanctioned major road construction projects worth over Rs 2312 crore to strengthen infrastructure in Indore and Ujjain ahead of Simhastha-2028, a significant religious event. Key developments include a 19.815 km Ujjain Simhastha bypass with four-lane upgradation at a cost of Rs 701.86 crore, a 48.05 km Indore-Ujjain Greenfield Road at Rs 1370.85 crore, and a 32.60 km two-lane Ingoria-Depalpur road in Ujjain district costing Rs 239.38 crore.

These projects, to be executed by the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, are set to improve regional connectivity and support future economic growth. The government’s dual focus on industrial and infrastructure development reflects its commitment to holistic progress.
