NCC Wins Bid for Daudhan Dam Execution Under Ken-Betwa Link Project

Date:

NCC Limited has been selected as the successful bidder for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) execution of the Daudhan Dam under the ambitious Ken-Betwa Link Project (KBLP). The company received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Ken-Betwa Link Project Authority on November 28, 2024.

The project encompasses planning, design, engineering, and hydro-mechanical works, with a completion timeline of 72 months from the date of the order. The KBLP, a multi-state initiative, aims to benefit both Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh by addressing critical water management needs.

The Ken-Betwa Link Project is a significant multipurpose undertaking designed to enhance water conservation and distribution in the region. It is the first interlinking of rivers project under the National Perspective Plan. The project involves transferring surplus water from the Ken River to the Betwa River to ensure water availability in drought-prone areas.

The Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR) is overseeing the project, which aligns with its mission to develop, conserve, and manage water resources as a national priority. This landmark initiative is expected to play a vital role in the socio-economic upliftment of the region.
