RVNL Secures EPC Contract for Track Doubling in Maharashtra

Date:

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) by South Central Railway for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project aimed at enhancing rail connectivity in Maharashtra.

The project involves doubling a 58.06 km railway track between Parbhani and Parli stations, excluding a 6.775-km section within the Gangakhed yard (from km 292.075 to km 298.85). This strategic initiative will include electrification and signaling upgrades to bolster rail operations and improve efficiency in the region.

The track doubling project is part of South Central Railway’s border infrastructure development plan, designed to enhance capacity, reduce travel time, and support economic growth. The inclusion of modern electrification and signaling systems will not only optimize train operations but also align with the Indian Railways’ focus on sustainable and energy-efficient transportation solutions.

This development is expected to significantly improve connectivity in Maharashtra, benefiting both passenger and freight services. It highlights RVNL’s expertise in delivering key railway infrastructure projects and its pivotal role in India’s rail modernization efforts. The project represents a step forward in strengthening the region’s transportation network, fostering economic opportunities, and ensuring seamless rail operations.
