NCB and UltraTech Cement Join Hands to Strengthen Construction Sector Skills

Date:

The National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UltraTech Cement Limited to strengthen skill development and capacity building across India’s construction sector.

The partnership will focus on structured training and certification programmes for civil engineers, ready-mix concrete professionals, contractors, construction workers and masons. The initiative aims to enhance technical capabilities and create a more skilled workforce to meet the growing demands of India’s infrastructure and housing sectors.

Training programmes under the collaboration will cover important areas such as material quality testing, concrete mix proportioning, durability and sustainable construction practices. Participants will also benefit from workshops, site demonstrations, technical seminars and exposure visits to cement plants and ready-mix concrete facilities, helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The MoU was signed at NCB, Ballabgarh, by NCB Director General Dr. L. P. Singh and UltraTech Cement Limited’s Head of Technical Services, Er. Rahul Goel. Dr. Singh expressed confidence that the initiative would train a large number of professionals and workers over the next three to five years.

Aligned with the Government of India’s Skill India Mission, the collaboration is expected to support the development of a technically capable and future-ready construction workforce while promoting better quality, durability and sustainability across the sector.
