India’s Upcoming NH-163G Expressway Promises Faster Regional Connectivity

Date:

India is taking another major step toward improving regional connectivity with the development of the NH-163G Greenfield Highway. The upcoming four-lane, access-controlled highway will connect V. Venkatayapalem near Khammam in Telangana to Jakkampudi on NH-16 near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, creating a faster and more efficient travel corridor.

Once completed, the new highway is expected to reduce the journey between Khammam and Vijayawada to approximately 75 minutes, significantly cutting travel time for commuters and commercial vehicles alike. The improved route is designed to ease congestion on existing roads while providing a smoother and safer driving experience.

Beyond convenience, the NH-163G project is expected to strengthen trade and logistics by enabling faster movement of goods between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Businesses, transport operators and local industries stand to benefit from reduced travel costs and improved supply chain efficiency. The highway also forms part of India’s broader push to modernize its road infrastructure through high-speed economic corridors.

As construction progresses, the NH-163G Greenfield Highway is poised to become a vital transportation link, supporting regional economic growth while making travel more convenient for thousands of people. The project highlights India’s continued investment in infrastructure aimed at boosting connectivity, reducing travel times and improving overall road safety.
