De Angelis Returns to His Roots with Target Building Materials Acquisition

Date:

Max De Angelis, seasoned construction and building supplies executive, has acquired Target Building Materials, headquartered in Windsor, Ontario, marking a strategic homecoming to his core business strengths. The acquisition, effective January 15, 2025, sees the local distributor—originally founded in 1967 by Moe Drouillard—entering a new growth phase under De Angelis’s helm.

Target, a founding member of the TORBSA procurement group, was previously integrated into AD Building Supplies Canada in 2022, with Drouillard’s son playing a vital role in the merger. De Angelis, president of Fortis Group, brings decades of industry knowledge and a vision anchored in family business values. He plans to continue using the established Target brand while revitalizing its core principles of service, community, and innovation.

Under his leadership, Target aims to expand and deepen its local market presence, focusing on sustained relationships with tradespeople, construction firms, and homeowners. This acquisition not only ensures continuity for Target’s loyal client base but positions the company for renewed momentum—anchored in modern supply solutions and a legacy that began nearly six decades ago.
