Construction of the upcoming TIDEL Park project at Panjapur along the Tiruchi–Madurai Highway is progressing steadily, with authorities targeting completion by 2026. The ₹462.50-crore development is being jointly executed by the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) on a 14.16-acre site near the Integrated Bus Terminus.
The Tiruchi Corporation has leased the land for 45 years and secured a 25.6% stake in the project. Construction work began in February 2025 with an 18-month timeline and has since gathered pace through regular project reviews and accelerated execution efforts. Major preliminary activities, including pile foundation work, relocation of overhead power lines, and shifting of underground drainage pipelines, have already been completed.
Upon completion, the seven-storey facility will offer nearly 5.5 lakh sq. ft. of built-up space and feature modern infrastructure such as a conference hall, data centre, food courts, and dedicated parking facilities. The project is designed to accommodate around 10,000 employees and is expected to attract IT, ITES, BPO firms, and startups.
The TIDEL Park project is set to strengthen Tiruchi’s technology ecosystem, generate employment opportunities, and support the region’s long-term economic and industrial growth.
