ACME Solar Secures 450 MW–1800 MWh Peak Power Project Under SJVN FDRE-IV Scheme

Date:

ACME Solar Holdings has been awarded a 450 MW–1800 MWh assured peak power construction project under the SJVN FDRE-IV scheme, following a competitive e-reverse auction conducted in October 2025. The project, valued at ₹6.75 per unit over a 25-year period, aims to deliver reliable peak power supply through an innovative mix of renewable energy and advanced storage technology.

The initiative combines 300 MW of solar power generation with a 1,800 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), designed to provide steady power during high-demand hours. By focusing on peak power supply, the project seeks to enhance grid stability and ensure uninterrupted electricity, particularly by leveraging Rajasthan’s high solar irradiation and night-time power dispatch capabilities.

Notably, this marks ACME Solar’s first venture using Indian-made solar cells from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II, supporting the government’s push for domestic manufacturing. Commenting on the development, ACME Solar’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rahula Kashyapa, described the project as a “win-win” for both the company and consumers, emphasizing its cost-efficiency and contribution toward sustainable energy security in India’s renewable power landscape.
