Amazon to Invest ₹2,000 Crore in India to Boost Logistics Infrastructure in 2025

Date:

Amazon has announced a major investment of ₹2,000 crore (approx. USD 233 million) in India in 2025 to expand and upgrade its logistics and delivery infrastructure. The move aims to strengthen Amazon India’s fulfilment centres, sortation hubs, and delivery stations across the country.

The investment will also modernize existing facilities with advanced automation, energy-efficient cooling systems, and enhanced safety features. Additionally, rest areas for delivery personnel and accessible infrastructure for people with disabilities will be introduced.

“Over the past decade, we’ve built one of India’s most extensive logistics infrastructures,” said Abhinav Singh, Vice President of Operations at Amazon India. “This fresh investment is part of our long-term commitment to improve delivery speed, enhance safety, and support the people who power our network.”

Amazon’s expansion plan focuses on increasing fulfilment capacity and leveraging automation to process and deliver orders faster. The initiative is expected to generate employment, especially in smaller towns, while offering better support for local small businesses.

This investment reaffirms Amazon’s commitment to India as a key growth market, with a strong focus on improving customer experience and operational efficiency across its vast service network.
