Berger Paints India has crossed the Rs 15 billion milestone in its construction chemicals business, including waterproofing, in FY26, marking a significant expansion beyond its traditional paints portfolio.
Developed over the past seven to eight years, the business now covers waterproofing, repair, tiling and other construction applications. It has recorded a CAGR of more than 25% over the last three years, substantially ahead of the broader waterproofing market, which is estimated to grow at around 8–10%.
Growing demand from new construction, renovation and repair activities has supported the segment, while infrastructure development and increasing adoption of specialised construction solutions are creating further opportunities.
Berger’s Home Shield portfolio remains a key part of its construction chemicals strategy. Its offerings include waterproofing products, Home Shield Waterproof Putty and Roof Cool and Seal, which combines waterproofing with roof-cooling properties.
The company has also expanded into tile adhesives, tile grouts and other adhesive solutions, strengthening its presence across the construction chemicals value chain.
With a pan-India footprint and strong traction in markets including West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, Berger Paints plans to drive further growth through product innovation and deeper market penetration.
