Walplast Strengthens Construction Materials Portfolio with Vura Acquisition

Date:

Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd. has strengthened its position in India’s building materials sector by acquiring a majority stake in Vura Bau Chemie LLP. The strategic investment is aimed at expanding Walplast’s product portfolio and strengthening its presence across specialised construction material categories.

Vura Bau Chemie offers a range of tile adhesives, waterproofing solutions and stone-care products. Through the acquisition, Walplast plans to strengthen its existing capabilities in tile adhesives and waterproofing while expanding into the specialised stone-care segment. The move will also support the company’s entry into new market segments and high-performance building solutions.

According to Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director of Walplast Products, Vura’s technical expertise, differentiated product portfolio and entrepreneurial approach complement Walplast’s manufacturing capabilities, research and development strengths, distribution network and international reach.

The acquisition comes as demand for specialised construction materials continues to grow alongside India’s housing and infrastructure development. By combining Vura’s specialised offerings with Walplast’s established manufacturing and distribution capabilities, the company aims to provide a broader range of construction solutions to customers.

The investment reflects Walplast’s long-term strategy of building a more comprehensive construction solutions platform while strengthening its competitiveness in India’s evolving building materials market.
