This achievement shows that India is moving beyond simple assembly work and entering higher-value manufacturing. Government support through schemes such as PLI and the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme has encouraged investment, production and job creation across the sector. Around 75 component factories are already under construction, while nearly 250 more are expected in the coming years.
From an industry perspective, this trend strengthens India’s position in global supply chains and improves its competitiveness in advanced manufacturing. If the current momentum continues, India can become a leading hub for electronics components, semiconductors and technology products. The export growth to China is not just a trade milestone, it is proof that India is steadily becoming a stronger force in the global manufacturing economy.
