Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has called upon the Indian diaspora in Brazil to actively participate in India’s rapidly expanding clean energy and innovation ecosystem. Addressing members of the Indian community in São Paulo, Gadkari highlighted India’s remarkable economic progress, world-class infrastructure development and growing global influence.
Emphasizing India’s commitment to sustainable development, the minister pointed to emerging opportunities in sectors such as biofuels, green hydrogen, clean energy technologies and flex-fuel mobility. He noted that these industries are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the country’s future while supporting global climate goals.
Gadkari described India as a “land of opportunities” and encouraged overseas Indians to explore investment, innovation and partnership opportunities in the country. He stressed that collaboration between the Indian diaspora and domestic industries can accelerate economic growth and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The minister also acknowledged the significant contributions of the Indian community in Brazil, particularly in areas such as agribusiness, energy cooperation, digital innovation and entrepreneurship. He praised their role in strengthening India-Brazil relations and fostering greater economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
The outreach reflects India’s broader strategy of engaging with its global diaspora and attracting investments into future-ready sectors that can drive innovation, sustainability and long-term prosperity.
