UP Approves 38 Private Logistics & Warehousing Projects Worth ₹2,600 Crore

Date:

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has approved 38 private-sector logistics and warehousing projects across multiple cities in the state, amounting to a total investment of around ₹2,600 crore. The projects are set to come up in key locations such as Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, and Rampur, under the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy 2022.

The policy provides investors with attractive incentives, including tax exemptions, financial assistance, and priority approvals for developing multi-modal logistics parks, warehousing clusters, cold-storage facilities, and distribution hubs across all 75 districts.

To strengthen implementation and accountability, five of these projects—collectively valued at ₹400 crore—have been assigned unique tracking identifiers for real-time progress monitoring. Officials emphasized that these developments are aligned with Uttar Pradesh’s broader goal of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy and creating a robust logistics backbone to support industrial expansion.

UPSIDA’s recent efforts reflect a growing focus on industrial infrastructure, with land allotments rising from 114 acres in FY18 to 526 acres in FY25. Additionally, the infrastructure budget for industrial enclaves has been significantly increased—from ₹415 crore in FY24 to ₹6,190 crore in FY26—further positioning the state as a key logistics and warehousing hub in northern India.
