Threekit Launches AI Platform to Transform How Building-Material Buyers Select Products

Date:

Threekit has unveiled a new AI-powered suite aimed at the building materials sector, enabling buyers, designers and professionals to identify, configure and visualise products in seconds. The announcement was made at the Chicago Build Expo on October 28, 2025.

The platform is designed to simplify complex product selection processes common in categories such as windows and doors, flooring, tile, cabinetry and kitchen & bath fixtures. Instead of sifting through dense spec sheets or generic listings, users can now describe their needs in plain language or upload images of spaces to receive tailored product matches.

Key features include:

  • AI Discovery & Guided Selling: Users input natural language or visual cues (“I want a modern, energy-efficient black-trim window”) and receive instant configured product options.

  • AI Home Vision: Upload a photo of a home or space and preview how compatible materials would look — helping buyers “see it before they buy it.”

  • AI Lead Intelligence: Captures buyer intent and configuration data, syncing with CRM systems to support sales follow-up.

  • 3D/Real-Time Visualisation: Enables real-time configuration and visualisation of product finishes and placements to boost buyer confidence and reduce order errors.

Manufacturers targeting the building materials category say the tool addresses long-standing challenges around product complexity and buyer decision fatigue. By streamlining selection and visualisation, Threekit claims the new AI suite will accelerate purchase decisions and improve conversion rates.
