NHAI Targets December 2025 for Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari Highway Completion

Date:

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set a new deadline of December 2025 for the completion of the four-lane Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari highway, a project delayed by nearly two years.

Originally conceived in 2018 to upgrade the existing two-lane state highway into a national highway, the project is being executed at an estimated cost of ₹900 crore. Construction began in 2021, with the initial deadline fixed for November 2023. As per NHAI updates, approximately 70 percent of the work has already been completed.

Two critical structures remain under construction: a railway overbridge (RoB) at Pahari village and a two-lane unidirectional flyover on Dwarka Expressway, both of which are in advanced stages. Once finished, the highway is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway and provide an alternate route to industrial hubs such as Manesar, Bilaspur, and Dharuhera.

Minor delays are attributed to pending strengthening of sewer lines and the dismantling of a stormwater drain along the corridor. NHAI officials emphasized that they are prioritizing all remaining works, including approach roads, with an aim to complete the project within the revised deadline.
