Sun Drops Energia, the wholly-owned subsidiary of KPI Green Energy, has secured its second consecutive solar project order from Avichal Power. The latest award entrusts Sun Drops Energia with a 100 MW solar power project in Gujarat, to be delivered in phases by the end of fiscal year 2027.
Under a turnkey delivery model, the scope covers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). Sun Drops Energia will supply advanced module-mounting structures and balance-of-plant materials, and will execute all civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation works. Upon commissioning, the company will also manage comprehensive operations and maintenance of the plant throughout its lifecycle.
This new contract follows closely on the heels of an earlier portfolio of nearly 37 MW in solar project orders secured under Gujarat’s renewable energy policy, reinforcing Sun Drops Energia’s leadership in India’s fast-growing green energy market. These back-to-back wins underscore the firm’s technical expertise and robust project-management capabilities.
KPI Green Energy’s CEO commented, “Securing this project demonstrates Sun Drops Energia’s proven track record in executing large-scale solar installations and our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.” With India targeting 450 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, projects like these are critical to meeting the nation’s decarbonization goals and supporting long-term energy security.
Industry analysts note that Gujarat’s supportive policy framework and private-sector engagement continue to make it a national leader in renewable development, setting a benchmark for other states to follow.
