AbhiBus & CheckMyBus Team Up to Globalize India’s Bus Travel

AbhiBus, the bus-ticketing arm of ixigo, has announced a strategic partnership with CheckMyBus, a Germany-based global intercity bus metasearch platform. Through this collaboration, CheckMyBus will integrate AbhiBus’s network of over 4,000 bus operators and more than 350,000 routes across India into its platform, currently serving users in over 90 countries and 21 domains across 12 languages.

International and domestic travellers can now effortlessly search, compare, and book India’s extensive intercity and last-mile bus journeys, complete with schedules, prices, and live tracking, alongside other travel modes. Key features available include Abhi Assured for on-time reliability, Pink Seat for female traveller safety, Bus Insights offering route-and-operator reviews, cancellation protection and real-time status updates.

Rohit Sharma, COO of AbhiBus, noted that the tie-up “is a major leap towards making India’s extensive bus network more accessible to the world… simplifying travel across the country” , while CheckMyBus CEO Marc Hofmann said the integration “brings unprecedented access and convenience” for intercity travel in India.
