Date:

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has floated a tender inviting bids for sub-leasehold rights to commercially develop, operate, and maintain the vertical space of the Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) facility on the east side of Surat Railway Station. This initiative is part of RLDA’s push to modernize railway infrastructure and promote transit-oriented development.

The proposed project encompasses a total built-up area (BUA) of approximately 67,020 sq. mtrs., which includes 9,570 sq. mtrs. already constructed by SITCO, 28,645 sq. mtrs. of BUA in the airspace, and an additional permissible 28,805 sq. mtrs. of BUA. The commercial development will be carried out on a 2,765 sq. mtr. plot.

The selected developer will be tasked with the integrated development of commercial facilities, potentially including retail, office, hospitality, or other mixed-use establishments designed to meet modern urban and commuter needs.

The estimated project value stands at ₹88 crore, and the last date for submitting bids is 06 June 2025. This project is expected to boost Surat’s urban infrastructure and provide a modern commercial hub adjoining a key railway junction.
