Centre Unveils ₹136 Crore CISF Infrastructure Projects, Lays Foundation for New Headquarters

Date:

The Central Government has launched infrastructure projects worth over ₹136 crore to strengthen the operational and training capabilities of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). As part of the initiative, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar laid the foundation stone for a new CISF Headquarters building at the CGO Complex in New Delhi. The project marks a significant step in modernising the force’s infrastructure to address evolving security challenges.

The upcoming nine-storey headquarters, being constructed by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) at an estimated cost of ₹75.78 crore, will serve as the central hub for the force’s administrative, operational and strategic functions. The facility will house key offices, a control room, conference facilities, an auditorium, library, gymnasium and other modern amenities.

The government also inaugurated three completed projects, including the Aditya Subordinate Officers’ Mess and the Abhyas Advanced Training Building at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad, along with residential quarters for CISF personnel in Tamil Nadu.

The investment reflects the government’s focus on enhancing CISF’s preparedness for emerging threats such as cyberattacks, drone-based risks and technology-driven security challenges. The projects are expected to strengthen the force’s ability to safeguard critical infrastructure while supporting its expanding responsibilities across the country.
