Munich-based startup Conxai has raised €5 million to scale its agentic AI platform designed specifically for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Founded in 2020, the company is addressing one of construction’s biggest challenges—fragmented and underutilised project data—by developing AI tools trained on industry-specific workflows instead of generic models.
Conxai’s platform gathers data from various sources such as site images, videos, sensors, documents, and CAD files, converting unstructured information into meaningful insights. This enables automation of tasks like reporting, documentation, and project coordination, helping teams work more efficiently.
One of its key solutions, SiteLens, provides real-time visibility into construction sites, allowing better tracking of labour, equipment, and overall project progress. The platform’s advanced “neuro-agentic reasoning” combines human expertise with AI-driven intelligence to deliver contextual and explainable insights, improving decision-making on-site.
The funding round, backed by prominent investors, highlights the growing demand for construction technology solutions. As one of the least digitised industries globally, construction continues to face inefficiencies due to poor data utilisation.
With this investment, Conxai plans to expand its global footprint and accelerate the adoption of AI-powered automation, positioning itself as a key player in the digital transformation of the construction industry.
