Century Plyboards has inaugurated a new greenfield plywood manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, marking a significant expansion of its manufacturing operations in India. Spread across 27 acres, the facility has been developed to cater to the growing demand for plywood across northern and northwestern markets.
The company plans to invest approximately ₹215 crore in the project, which will be implemented in two phases. The new facility is expected to enhance CenturyPly’s production capacity, strengthen its manufacturing network and improve product availability across key regional markets.
With the inauguration of the Hoshiarpur plant, CenturyPly now operates seven plywood manufacturing facilities across India. The expansion reflects the company’s focus on strengthening its operational capabilities and meeting the evolving requirements of the construction, interior design and furniture industries.
The facility is expected to improve the company’s reach across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. These markets represent important regions for plywood consumption, supported by demand from residential construction, commercial infrastructure and interior furnishing projects.
The new plant is also expected to support more efficient regional distribution and strengthen CenturyPly’s competitive position in the northern Indian market. Through this investment, the company aims to expand its manufacturing footprint while addressing rising demand for plywood and related wood-based products.
