Hero MotoCorp Rolls Out ‘Ride Safe India’ Road Safety Campaign

Date:

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of two-wheelers, has launched the Ride Safe India campaign to promote responsible road behaviour across the country. The initiative aligns with National Road Safety Month and reinforces the company’s long-standing commitment to making Indian roads safer for all users.

The campaign is based on the government’s 4E framework — Education, Engineering, Enforcement and Emergency Care, with a focus on behavioural change rather than mere rule enforcement. Planned as a three-month nationwide programme, Ride Safe India will be implemented across major cities through on-ground activities, community engagement and digital outreach.

As part of the initiative, Hero MotoCorp will set up Safe School Zones with speed-calming measures and awareness signage to protect children and pedestrians. The company will also conduct road safety training sessions in schools and colleges, encouraging young citizens to adopt safe riding habits early. Over one million people are expected to participate through digital safety pledges and awareness programmes.

A key highlight of the campaign is the Surakshit Saathi initiative, which will train and certify over 1,000 gig workers as first responders. These participants will receive safety equipment, first-aid kits and emergency response training to assist accident victims.

Additional outreach efforts include mobile awareness units, fuel-station drives, traffic park activities and community events. The campaign will also celebrate women riders through special rallies and honour women traffic police officers for their contribution to road safety.

Through Ride Safe India, Hero MotoCorp aims to build a culture of shared responsibility and long-term change in road safety behaviour across India.
