The Water Resources Department, Maharashtra has issued a tender for the construction of a pipe distribution network along with Command Area Development and Water Management (CADWM) works in the Ghodazari Canal Division. The project is located in Nagbhid, Maharashtra, and is aimed at strengthening irrigation infrastructure and improving water use efficiency in the region.
The proposed work falls under Sub Branch-2 at RD 44,300 metres of the Ghodazari Branch and Gadmaushi Minor. Once completed, the project is expected to create irrigation potential for nearly 3,000 hectares of agricultural land. This initiative will play a key role in supporting agricultural development by ensuring reliable and equitable water supply to farmers.
The estimated value of the contract is ₹125.68 crore, with the project scheduled for completion within 18 months, including the monsoon period. The scope of work includes the design and execution of an efficient pipeline distribution network, along with integrated water management measures to optimise water utilisation and reduce losses.
By enhancing irrigation capacity and modernising water distribution systems, the project is expected to boost crop productivity, improve farm incomes, and strengthen the overall agricultural infrastructure of the region. Interested bidders can submit their proposals until 15 January 2026.
