Rockefeller, MBK Real Estate Break Ground on New Logistics Park in Central Pennsylvania

Date:

Rockefeller Group and MBK Real Estate have officially commenced construction on the Silver Spring Logistics Park, a large-scale industrial development planned to span nearly 2 million square feet in Silver Spring Township, Central Pennsylvania. The project is situated on a 182-acre site near Mechanicsburg, strategically located close to Interstate 81 and the Carlisle Pike, offering seamless connectivity to major regional and East Coast transportation networks.

The first phase includes two modern logistics buildings measuring approximately 803,520 sq ft and 318,060 sq ft. A third and largest building, estimated at 892,620 sq ft, is slated for a later phase. All buildings are designed with 40-foot clear heights, 54-by-50-foot column spacing, and 185-foot truck courts, ensuring efficient operations for high-volume warehousing, distribution, and e-commerce logistics.

Construction of the initial two facilities is expected to be completed by spring 2026. Once fully built, the park is anticipated to serve as a major Class A logistics hub, benefiting from proximity to Harrisburg International Airport and direct access to regional highways and key shipping corridors.

The development underscores rising demand for advanced industrial infrastructure across Central Pennsylvania, a region rapidly evolving into a leading distribution and supply-chain gateway.
