Andhra Pradesh is rapidly transforming into India’s leading trade and logistics gateway under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. With over 1,000 kilometers of coastline and a prime position along the eastern seaboard, the state is strategically developing an integrated transport and industrial ecosystem that connects ports, railways, highways and airports.
Naidu’s roadmap focuses on enhancing connectivity through key railway lines such as Nadikudi–Srikalahasti and Rayadurg–Tumakuru, along with major freight corridors linking ports like Kakinada, Ramayapatnam and Mulapeta to industrial clusters. The modernization of 73 railway stations, construction of new overbridges and underpasses and the redevelopment of terminals in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Amaravati reflect the government’s commitment to world-class infrastructure.
The larger goal is not limited to transport efficiency — it’s about driving economic transformation. Andhra Pradesh aims to achieve a GDP of USD 2.4 trillion and exports worth USD 450 billion by 2047. The government plans to establish a dedicated logistics university, a state logistics corporation and multiple multi-modal hubs that connect air, sea, road, rail and inland waterways.
This ambitious initiative positions Andhra Pradesh as more than just a regional player, it’s on course to become the backbone of India’s trade and supply chain network. With its blend of policy vision, infrastructure focus and investor-friendly approach, the state is paving the way for long-term, sustainable economic growth.
