GenAI Set to Add Billions to India’s Real Estate Economy

Date:

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is poised to reshape India’s real estate industry, helping developers achieve up to 50% higher sales velocity and significantly faster project launches, according to a joint report by EY-Parthenon and CREDAI. The report highlights how AI-powered tools are moving the sector from traditional scale-driven operations to a more intelligence-led approach.

The study suggests that developers adopting GenAI could accelerate sales conversions by 30–50% through improved lead qualification, personalized customer engagement and data-driven decision-making. Additionally, project launch timelines could be reduced by nearly 30%, enabling developers to bring new offerings to market much faster.

Beyond sales and launches, GenAI is expected to streamline multiple stages of the real estate value chain. Automated feasibility assessments, predictive project monitoring, intelligent design workflows and dynamic pricing models can improve efficiency while reducing operational costs. The report also notes that decision cycles that traditionally took months could be compressed into weeks or even days.

According to the findings, GenAI could contribute an additional US$14–17 billion to the sector’s Gross Value Added (GVA) over the next seven years. Industry leaders believe the technology will play a critical role in improving execution quality, customer experience and overall business performance as India’s real estate market continues to expand.

As developers increasingly embrace AI-driven innovation, GenAI is emerging as a strategic necessity rather than a future opportunity.
