Green Signals on Every Call?

Date:

Vi (Vodafone Idea) and DIPA (Digital Infrastructure Providers Association) have come together in a smart and forward‑thinking move to bring green energy into India’s telecom world. This partnership plans to use renewable energy in mobile towers, data centers and network sites across India. By following the Green Energy Open Access policy, they aim to make telecom services cleaner and more eco‑friendly.

Both organizations will build clear guidelines and useful frameworks. These will help companies install solar panels, wind turbines or hybrid solutions, making it simpler and more cost-effective to go green. The plan also includes training and sharing ideas so the entire industry can grow using clean energy.

Leaders from Vi and DIPA say this is the right time. India’s digital networks are growing fast and it is important to add new towers and hubs in a way that helps the planet . With this strong partnership, India’s telecom sector is stepping into a cleaner, brighter future.
